Melanie shared that the elements that made her wedding day feel most authentic and special to her and her husband were having a private vow reading. They also made the choice to skip out on some of the formalities and traditions that come with the wedding reception, a choice that felt more authentic to them. Melanie told us, "we considered having close friends and family during our vow reading but it was really nice to have a moment to ourselves to tell each other how we felt - intimate and meaningful. For the reception, we just wanted everyone to have a good time and party, rather than be interrupted by a garter or bouquet toss.. everyone was able to do that and then some!"
